Rising UK producer Shift K3y debuts infectious Dance-Pop that borrows DNA from classic UK Garage sounds, entitled ‘Touch’.
‘Touch’
is reminiscent of the late 90s/early 00s Garage scene helping bring back
everything that was good about that shamelessly cheesy period in music. Sugary
male vocals surround a fusion of skipping rhythms and hyperspeed baselines that
compliment Shift K3y’s vocal performance. ‘Touch’ is the sort of song that will
have you craving Dance beats with soul at the core.
As
of late, the charts have seen this Garage revival gradually build its way
through the Dance underground and turn the clocks back to the
Post-Garage/Chilled House days of the early 00s. It’s great to see unknown
producers and acts once again topping the charts out of the blue, due to a
shamelessly catchy tune. 2014 looks to be a good year for Shift K3y.
