South London singer
Shura debuts single ‘Touch’, an effortless blend of R&B beats and sensual
vocals.
After lending her
light-as-a-feather vocals to London producer Hiatus’ atmospheric post Dubstep
sounds, it appears Shura is refining her own production skills and sounds. What has developed is ‘Touch’ surrounded by
soft synthesizers and comforting R&B beats, the soothing rhythm leaves
Shura’s vocals quivering showing a vulnerability and emotional resonance to the
lyrics. (“There’s a love between us and something’s changed and I don’t know
why”)
Written and co-produced
by Shura, the song shows a tenderness and heartfelt message. ‘Touch’ echoes the
atmospheric pop of Janet Jackson’s ‘The Velvet Rope’ and the seductive
late-night R&B beats of newcomer Banks, whilst also distinguishing Shura
from her peers.
